
Kamal Haasan hints at Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu sequel at Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kadu audio launch

Kamal Haasan was present at the audio launch of Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kadu. At the event, he hinted at Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu sequel.
Grapevine has it that DCP Raghavan is back. Kamal Haasan and Gautham Menon will finally team up on a sequel to their blockbuster cop film, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The original film was released in 2006. An official confirmation on this is awaited though. Meanwhile, Kamal and Gautham were spotted together at the audio, trailer launch of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. At the event, they dropped hints at Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu sequel.
Gautham Menon revealed that he had plans on beginning Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2 by mid 2023 earlier. When asked about the possibility of the sequel at the recent event, Kamal Haasan said, "I gave my nod to the director two years ago. I'm still waiting for the script." Gautham Menon added, "Writer Jeyamohan is working on the script right now."
Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is a 2006 Tamil action thriller film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film starred Kamal Haasan, Jyothika and Kamalinee Mukherjee in prominent roles, while Prakash Raj, Daniel Balaji, and Salim Baig played supporting roles. It revolved around a police officer who tries to track down two serial killers. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj with cinematography being handled by Ravi Varman and editing done by Anthony.
