Popularly known as KRK, he is often in the news for his controversial movie reviews and tweets, which do not go down well with the public or the celebrities being targeted. The actor-critic was arrested by Malad Police on Tuesday, August 30, following a controversial tweet he made in 2020 targeting Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor. KRK was detained at the airport and was arrested post questioning, and has now been sent to 14-day judicial custody. The complaint was filed against Kamaal R Khan at Malad Police Station by Yuva Sena member Rahul Kanal.

In a recent tweet which he later deleted, KRK claimed that Anushka Sharma was the reason behind Virat Kohli’s depression. He had tweeted, “Virat Kohli is the first cricketer in India who is having problem of depression. Ye hai result ek heroine se shaadi karne ka. She must have put in his head that he is having depression problem (sic).”
Virat recently talked about his mental health in an interview with Star Sports while opening up about not being able to make an international ton for more than 1,000 days. He said, “I'm not shy to admit that I was feeling mentally down. This is a very normal thing to feel, but we don't speak because we are hesitant. We don't want to be looked at as mentally weak. Trust me, faking to be strong is far worse than admitting to being weak.”
