Kacha Badam singer Bhuban Badyakar receives Rs 3 lakh from music company for his viral song

A sum of Rs 3 lakh was given by Godhulibela Music, the house which created the remixed version of the song that is taking the nation by storm.
It has been over a month since the Kacha Badam song became an overnight hit online and created a major euphoria with thousands dancing to its peppy tunes. Bhuban Badyakar, the creator of the song, has now got his long-due remuneration for the viral song. A sum of Rs 3 lakh was given by Godhulibela Music, the house which created the remixed version of the song that is taking the nation by storm. The remuneration came at a time when social media questioned whether the poor peanut seller from Birbhum, West Bengal got anything financially out of the superhit song.
"We signed a deal with Bhuban da for Rs 3 lakhs today and he was paid Rs 1.5 in cheque. He will be paid the remaining next week. It was a long time due to him," said Gopal Ghose of Godhulibela Music.
Gopal Ghosh also stated that Bhuban got nothing out of the sensation he created and they hold the copyright so it was due.
Kacha Badam' is currently one of the most viral songs on the internet in the past few days. Be it in the country or throughout the world, people seem to have been hooked to the tune.
Badyakar composed the song to attract buyers as he traveled to different villages in the Birbhum district selling peanuts. On Thursday, he was brought to the West Bengal Police Headquarters, and was felicitated by West Bengal Police.
Speaking to IndiaToday.in, he stated that he never thought that the song would be such a hit.
