K.C. Venugopal lays roadmap for Congress’ victory in local body and GHMC elections

Telangana Cabinet Ministers meet AICC General Secretary to strategize for upcoming elections and party affairs.
A 90-minute meeting of the Telangana Cabinet Ministers with AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal discussed the road map for victory in the local body elections and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, and the measures to be taken for it.
The meeting held at Mr. Venugopal’s residence was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Seethakka, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Damodar Rajnarsimha, Jupally Krishna Rao and AICC in-charge Deepadas Munsi.
Mr. Venugopal apparently expressed satisfaction with the performance of the government in Telangana and the party affairs. He directed that the caste census should be completed at the earliest and preparations should be made for the local body elections. He also asked the in-charge ministers to tour the assigned districts extensively and resolve the problems of the workers.
Later, TPCC chief Mahesh Goud told reporters that Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting on ‘Samvidhan Bachao’ to be held in February in Khammam or Suryapet. He also said the meeting further discussed the party affairs and decided to fill up the nominated posts by the month-end. The new PCC executive committee will also be finalised soon. The District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents will be selected based on their performance at the field level.
Replying to a question, Mr. Goud said that the Chief Minister and the high command will take a decision on the expansion, changes and additions to the Cabinet.
