India Today
The TMC has alleged that the BJP workers are obstructing voters from casting their votes.
The Tripura unit of the Trinamool Congress has written to the State Election Commission alleging malpractices being employed in the Tripura civic polls by Bharatiya Janata Party Workers.
It wrote to the State Election Commission in an e-mail that over 20 issues of EVM malfunction and violence by BJP workers had been flagged by the TMC since morning, but only two of them had been resolved so far. It also said that phone numbers of officials are unreachable. “Repeated calls to the SP, the local police station OC and the returning officers on the numbers provided officially have gone unanswered as they are unreachable.”
