An elephant rescue operation in Odisha's Cuttack took a tragic turn after the boat of the rescue team overturned in the Mahanadi river, killing one journalist and an ODRAF member.
A regional TV channel journalist and a member of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) were killed after being swept away by waves during the rescue operation of an elephant stuck in the Mahanadi river in Odisha on Friday.
Journalist Arindam Das and his cameraman colleague Prabhat Sinha went to cover the rescue operation of a jumbo stuck in the Mahanadi river near Mundali Bridge in Cuttack since the wee hours of Friday. They were accompanied by five ODRAF members.
