Jr NTR and Ram Charan's RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, could get a few nominations in Oscars 2023. Variety, in its prediction list, nominated RRR in two categories.
It looks like director SS Rajamouli's RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is eyeing a possible nomination at Oscars 2023. Variety, a popular international magazine, has predicted that RRR could be nominated in two categories - Best International Feature and Best Original Song (Dosti). The final nomination list by the Academy is yet to be announced and will be out in the coming months.
Director SS Rajamouli's RRR earned over Rs 1100 crore in its theatrical run. The film received a lot of love from the international circuit.
According to Variety's Oscars 2023 prediction list, RRR has been nominated in two categories. RRR has been nominated in the Best International Feature category. Argentina 1985, Bardo (or False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths), Close and Holy Spider are the other films in the category.
Similarly, Dosti song from RRR has been nominated in the Best Original Song category. Here are the nominations in the list:
