BJP chief JP Nadda slammed KCR while addressing a rally in Telangana. JP Nadda said that KCR is doing what Nizam did to trample the Telangana liberation movement.
Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda on Saturday vowed to put an end to the regime of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led by CM K Chandrashekar Rao in the next Assembly elections and called KCR the new Nizam of Telangana.
Talking about the Telangana liberation movement that led to the defeat of Nizam, JP Nadda said, “During the Telangana liberation movement, then erstwhile ruler Nizam used to issue “firmans” (order) against holding public meetings, and subsequently he lost his power. Now, KCR is also issuing similar “firmans” prohibiting public meetings by opposition parties. Needless to say, they would be his last orders. He is the new Nizam of Telangana."
JP Nadda was addressing a rally at the Arts College ground in Telangana’s Hanamkonda after the culmination of the Praja Sangrama Yatra of Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
“I feel it a privilege to take part in the third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra, whose objective is to show a new beacon of light to Telangana which was pushed into darkness by KCR,” the BJP chief said.
Nadda went on to describe the TRS dispensation as anti-people. He highlighted the second phase of padayatra when the TRS government arrested BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
