The first ever Central University Entrance Test (CUET) was conducted amidst confusion among the students with some missing the exams and some reaching late. The last-moment CUET admits card uploads led to delays for the exams.
In Greater Noida, a blind student (name withheld on request), reached the examination centre at the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) moments after the exam was over.
"We live very far from this area. We were trying to get the admit card since long, but it was uploaded about an hour before the test. We tried hard to reach, but couldn't make it," said the student.
Most of the students, however, reached on time at the Greater Noida centres and said that the paper was easy.
"After initial hiccups in connecting to the server, everything went smoothly. The question paper was easy," said Khushboo, a student.
Most of the students travelled 20 to 25 km to make sure their children reach the exam centre on time. Upon reaching the centre, a few unlucky ones said they had to travel another 30 km all the way to Noida as their exam Centre was changed.
Reliving his ordeal, 48-year-old Rajesh Kumar told India Today that her daughter received her admit card at around 2 pm the day before.
