He kills his time by trying to catch fish in a well. He spends days after days dragging his line to the depths of the pond and back, waiting for the fish to take the bait. At first, it appears to be a lost cause. His patience wears down. But, practice pays off. He ends up catching something big and heavy which tries to pull him into the water. The screen then goes black, leaving a lot of suspense.
