K-pop band BTS has made history after their visit to the White House in Washington DC. The global South Korean boy band was invited by US President Joe Biden to discuss Asian inclusion and representation, and address anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination on May 31. After pictures and videos of the press conference surfaced on the internet, fans (known as ARMY) didn’t hold back while showering praise on the septet.
However, it looks like the US President is also a fan of BTS! Joe Biden’s official Twitter profile shared a wonderful video of the group’s interaction at the White House. “It was great to meet with you this week at the White House, @bts_bighit. The rise in anti-Asian hate crimes requires all of us to stand up, speak out, and give hate no safe harbor. Thanks for all you’re doing. It matters,” read the caption.
The clip shows Biden playing the K-pop supergroup’s chartbuster song Butter during their visit. All the members couldn’t stop clapping after that. The video also goes on to show snippets of the discussion BTS had with President Biden. It also shows Vice President Kamala Harris having a conversation with the septet.
