Hours after Ghulam Nabi Azad quit Congress, the party released an old video of Rahul Gandhi to taunt the senior leader.
After Ghulam Nabi Azad's exit, Congress released an old video of Rahul Gandhi in which the former party chief calls for welcoming 'nidar' or brave people into the party fold while letting go of those who are "afraid".
"Jo hamare yaha dar rhe unko bahar nikalo. Hame nidar log chaiye. Ye hai hamari ideology [People within Congress who are afraid, get them out. We need brave people. That is our ideology)," Rahul Gandhi was heard saying in the video.

"There are lots of people who are brave but are outside the Congress. Bring them in," he added.
In his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi on Friday, Gulam Nabi Azad blamed Rahul Gandhi for the party's failure in elections and claimed that the Gandhi scion was the reason Congress lost its political space to the BJP.
