JNU asks hostel residents to ‘return to native place’ amid Covid-19 surge
India Today
JNU has issued an advisory for the students residing in the hostels to return to their native places as Covid-19 cases in the campus are on the rise.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration has issued an advisory to all the hostel residents recently, urging them to return to their homes and native places as the number of Covid-19 cases across the campus is increasing each day. Delhi on Friday recorded its biggest single-day jump of 19,486 fresh Covid-19 cases and 141 deaths due to the disease, according to data shared by the health department. This is the fifth record daily rise in cases in the national capital in the last six days. The advisory issued by the varsity further mentions that the hostel mess, libraries, and other eateries could be super-spreaders among the students and so could not be sustained. The students have been advised to leave the hostel rooms and return to their hometowns.More Related News
