Jets can get Mud Bowl revenge decades later by spoiling Dolphins’ playoff hopes
NY Post
MIAMI — There was no 14-year playoff drought for the Jets in the 1982 AFC Championship game against the Dolphins at the Orange Bowl, only a 14-year championship drought since Super Bowl III.
A drought that Aaron Rodgers and the 2024 Jets will not be ending.
Rodgers was born 11 months after the Mud Bowl, a 14-0 Dolphins win that forever lives in infamy for the Jets and their fans.
The 3-8 Jets can only play spoiler against the 5-7 Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium, and 69-year-old A.J. Duhe will be in an alumni box watching.
