The Sultanpuri police arrested two people for kidnapping an aspiring DJ. They had received a call from the victim’s parents on May 22 alleging that their son had been kidnapped. The police sprung into action after they suspected a threat to the victim’s life.
A team was constituted for the investigation and information about the victim, Gurpreet Bobby. His neighbours, Kunal and Shivam, were identified as the prime suspects in the case. The two accused were also closely associated with the victim as they worked as DJs at various events. Police tracked down their location to an OYO room in Mahipalpur but the accused had fled from the spot before police arrived.
ACCUSED ARRESTED
Later, police received a tip off saying that the accused were spotted in the Sultanpuri.
Various raids were conducted throughout the area until the accused were found. The victim, Bobby, was sent to the SGM Hospital for the treatment of his injuries after being assaulted by his kidnappers while the two accused were arrested.
PLANNED TO KILL
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had been Bobby’s mentors for DJ-ing. However, he was now gaining more popularity and was being contacted by event organisers directly, which caused a lot of losses to the two.
