The left-arm pacer said that a lot of people, including the players, associated with the IPL have been able to earn their livelihood because of the popular tournament even as other businesses continue to suffer due to lockdowns, curfews and the crisis situation in general in the country.
Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat backed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 to continue despite the worsening situation related to the coronavirus pandemic in India as it provides livelihood to thousands of people associated with the cash-rich tournament. “My family was infected and I did what all of us are doing. Tried gettint them medicines and medical help. We are in this together. If we can spread the message using our platform as cricketers that’s our way to help. We can’t be doctors. Rajasthan Royals' Andrew Tye and Liam Livingstone have already gone back home to Australia and England respectively, while Royal Challengers Bangalore's Aussie recruits Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa have also pulled out and gone home.
