The lawsuit was first filed in October and refiled to name Jay-Z on Sunday.
Jay-Z is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in a lawsuit with fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit was first filed in October but did not list Jay-Z, whose given name is Shawn Carter, by name until an amended complaint was filed on Sunday, NBC News first reported.
The plaintiff, listed as “Jane Doe,” alleges that Carter and Combs drugged her and subsequently took turns raping her while an unnamed female celebrity watched in 2000 at a house party in Manhattan after the MTV Video Music Awards, according to the amended complaint, which HuffPost obtained. At the time, she was 13 years old, and Carter and Combs would have both been about 31 years old.
She also claimed that Carter raped her vaginally first, then Combs did the same. Combs then attempted to force her to perform oral sex as Carter and the woman watched, but she managed to escape, running to a nearby gas station, the lawsuit added.
Carter was originally named as “Celebrity A” in the lawsuit and the woman was named as “Celebrity B.” However, when Carter was notified of the suit, he filed an “utterly frivolous lawsuit” and orchestrated “a conspiracy of harassment, bullying and intimidation” against “Jane Doe’s” lawyers, families, and others in an effort to keep his name out of the suit, the complaint said.
