West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder was last week relieved as the Test skipper of the side, but chief selector Roger Harper argued that the player was still an integral part of the team.

West Indies chief selector Roger Harper said that despite Jason Holder being relieved of his duties as the Test captain, he was still an integral part of the side. Harper also added that the team appreciates what Holder has done over the five-and-a-half year period that he was in-charge of the team, and added that this was a perfect time for him to take his game to ‘higher levels’. "We must appreciate what Jason has done as captain. He came in at a very young age, took the captaincy at a time when the team was a little unsettled, and he grew with the job and performed creditably.
