Jammu: NIA to probe Sunjwan attack

The NIA will probe the attack by terrorists at the Sunjwan army camp in Jammu.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will take over the investigation into the attack by terrorists at the Sunjwan army camp in Jammu. One security force personnel was killed and nine suffered injuries during a gunfight in the militant attack on Friday.
The NIA team had earlier visited Sunjwan area where the terrorists attacked in order to disturb peace in Jammu and sabotage the prime minister's visit to the region.
Two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were killed in the encounter that ensued in the Sunjwan area on Friday. According to sources, a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel was attacked by terrorists around 4.25 am near Chaddha Camp in Jammu.

The encounter in Sunjwan took place amid heightened security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir, two days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Samba district. PM Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu on April 24.
