Jammu-Kashmir’s Covid vaccination drive hits roadbock as stock dries out
India Today
The Covid-19 vaccination drive in Jammu and Kashmir will hit a roadblock with the UT reporting a severe shortage of vaccine doses. With the next phase of vaccination from May 1, vaccines are expected to be back in stock from May 20.
Jammu and Kashmir is unlikely to start vaccinations of those above 18 years of age from May 1. This is because enough vaccines are not reportedly available in the Union Territory for the third phase of vaccinations. “We have placed orders for vaccines but it will take at least 20 days. The drive for 18-45 years of age will start after we get these doses,” said a senior official in the health department. Even the ongoing drive is facing challenges due to the irregular supply of doses in Jammu and Kashmir.More Related News
