Jammu & Kashmir govt announces 21 days' summer vacation for degree colleges in Jammu region

The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced summer vacations for college students in the Jammu region due to the ongoing heat wave.
On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir government ordered a 21-day summer break for college students in Jammu region. As per the order, the summer holidays will begin from June 10.
“It is hereby ordered that the government degree colleges of union territory of J&K falling under summer zone (Jammu division) shall observe summer vacation with effect from June 10 to 30, both days inclusive,” Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary to the government, higher education department, said in an order Monday, as reported by PTI.
The decision for summer vacation has been taken due to the ongoing heat wave. On Monday, the temperature touched 46 degrees.
