Jammu and Kashmir killings result of Modi Government’s failure to find political solution: D. Raja

Killings of Hindu minority and cross-border incursions result of this, he says
The Government had billed abrogation of Article 370 as a permanent solution towards bringing peace to Kashmir and yet we see a spurt in civilian killings, CPI General Secretary D. Raja said on Tuesday.
The Government, he said, has failed to provide a political solution to what is essentially a political problem. “The abrogation of Article 370, snatching away statehood of Jammu and Kashmir and splitting it into two pieces did not restore normalcy and peace. The Government has not won the confidence, hearts and minds of people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mr. Raja said.
The recent killings of the Hindu minority and the cross-border incursions are a result of this, he said.

There are two instances where the government has shifted out such establishments out of the core city areas. The APMC yard, which was operating out of N.T. Pet, was shifted to Yeshwanthpur in the late 1980s, and HAL airport was shut down for passenger traffic and a new airport was built near Devanahalli.
