Jaipur: Flood control rooms to be launched from June 15

Soon, flood control rooms will be launched in Jaipur on June 15, before the southwest monsoon arrives in Rajasthan.
Ahead of the arrival of the southwest monsoon in Rajasthan, both the Heritage and Greater civic bodies of Jaipur are set to launch flood control rooms from June 15.
As per the predictions by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon season is likely to commence from June 25.
According to the report by the Times of India (TOI), JMC-Heritage commissioner Awadhesh Meena directed officials to set up the control room to help people during monsoon.
The flood control rooms will be set up in several areas, including fire stations of Ghat Gate, Amber and Banipark in the JMC-Heritage area.
The necessary guidelines have been given to the officials regarding the preparations ahead of the floods in Jaipur.
These guidelines include:
- Identification of shelter sites- Restoration of resources and sandbags- Arrangement of tractors, dumpers, JCBs and mud pumps
