Jahangirpuri violence accused Ansar belongs to AAP or BJP? Both parties pass the buck

The BJP and the AAP traded barbs over the Jahangirpuri violence accused Ansar, with both parties alleging that the accused belonged to the other party.
A day after BJP leaders claimed links between Jahangirpuri violence accused Ansar and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Delhi MLA Atish countered the claim and alleged that the accused is a BJP leader who plays an active role in the saffron party.
On Tuesday, AAP leader Atish tweeted, “The main accused in the Jahangirpuri riots - Ansar - is a BJP leader. He played a major role in getting BJP's candidate Sangeeta Bajaj to contest and plays an active role in BJP. It is clear that the BJP got the riots done. BJP should apologize to Delhiites. BJP is a party of goons.”
This follows after Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor asked the police to probe why 'masterminds' of the incident were "found associated with a particular party".
In a letter to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Praveen Shankar Kapoor asked him to expel Ansar from the party.
"Delhiites want a reply from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership over the involvement of the youth, apparently an AAP worker, in the Jahangirpuri riots. Earlier too, we saw AAP councilor Tahir Hussain as the main accused of 2020 Delhi riots," Kapoor said in the letter.
Another BJP leader Vijender Gupta also took a swipe at AAP and tweeted a picture of Ansar with the caption, “Model Aam Aadmi Party worker.”
