Jacqueline Avant, the wife of influencial music executive Clarence Avant, was shot and killed during a robbery in her home on Tuesday night, according to a spokesperson for Netflix. Nicole Avant, who is married to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, is the daughter of Jacqueline and Clarence.
Police have not confirmed the identity of the victim but in a statement to CNN said they responded to a call regarding a shooting at a home in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills, California at 2:23 a.m. where they discovered a woman had been shot.
"The suspect(s) were no longer on the scene. Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the victim did not survive," according to the BHPD statement.
