J&K: Foreign militant among two terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Sopore

Following a cordon-and-search operation, two militants, including a foreign militant, were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Kashmir’s Sopore area.

Two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists, including a foreign militant, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter took place on Tuesday in North Kashmir’s Sopore area. According to a police official, following information about the presence of some militants in the area, the security forces had launched a cordon-and-search operation at Nathipora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore. The search operation turned into an encounter when the militants opened fire on the security forces. The security forces retaliated to the attack and the two militants were killed in the operation.
