IWD: Qatar’s Embassy in Mexico honours female nurses at symposium

Mexico City: The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the United States of Mexico organized a symposium on the occasion of International Women’s Day, honoring female nurses in Mexico for the role and permanent struggle they play in fighting COVID-19.
The symposium was attended by Former President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Gabriela Cuevas, Dr. Maribel Peizis from the Division of Nursing Programs of Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), and Dr. Cynthia Gonzalez, representing Head of the Division of Nursing Programs of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) Fabiana Zepeda, in addition to a number of nurses. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United Mexican States H E Mohammed bin Jassim Al Kuwari said in his speech that the celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day is not only a memorial event, stressing the desire for this event to be a living testament to the great value that women represent to the State of Qatar. For her part, Dr. Cynthia Gonzalez thanked the embassy for this initiative and for inviting her to celebrate this exceptional day, which has a great importance this year, represented in the relentless struggle carried out by nurses working in the first front lines against COVID-19 pandemic, noting that she, in her previous position as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, witnessed the real struggle that women are doing in different parts of the world and in various locations to achieve a better life for themselves and their families.More Related News
