A video of an ITBP personnel singing one of Bappi Lahiri’s superhit tracks has grabbed the attention of netizens.
Singer-composer Bappi Lahiri passed away in Mumbai on February 15 at the age of 69. Known as the Golden man, Bappi Lahiri set the disco ball spinning in India through some massive hit songs on the disco-genre. The singer was being treated for multiple ailments and his health deteriorated on Tuesday night.
The legendary singer-composer’s demise prompted netizens to make a bee-line on social media platforms to pay respects to the Disco King. Among them, a video of an ITBP personnel singing one of Lahiri’s superhit tracks has grabbed the attention of netizens.
Shared on the official ITBP Twitter profile, the video shows Constable Sovan Banerjee singing Dil Me Ho Tum from the 1987 movie Satyameva Jayate. As the clip goes on, Banerjee also sings the original Bengali version of the song composed by Bappi Lahiri.
