It's the last day to vote for London's Neighbourhood Decision Making ideas

Saturday is the final day of voting for community-proposed ideas that could be implemented in neighbourhoods across London.

There were 230 ideas submitted by residents, neighbourhood associations, and students that were considered. A total of 79 had been turned into project proposals and are up for consideration.

"From playground upgrades to murals and community parties to outdoor exercise equipment, Londoners submitted a diverse range of ideas to enhance their neighbourhoods," said Karen Oldham, manager of neighbourhood development and supports.

There is no age limit to those who can cast a vote, though online registration is required to access the forum.

"Residents, whether they are new to London or too young to vote in a civic election, are encouraged to cast their vote to determine how a portion of the municipal budget will be spent."

Online voting started last Saturday and will wrap up at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. You can read all of the proposals and cast your votes on the city's website.

Voting can also be done in person from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at London Public Library branches. City staff members or volunteers will be on hand at the libraries as well.

Londoners can also call 519-661-8410 to cast their vote between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The city says they will tabulate the votes in the coming days and release the successful ideas that will receive funding for their implementation.
