One Afghan activist reflects on how he fled to safety, and the hopelessness he feels for his country and its people.

He also leads the Mastooraat organisation, a non-profit that works to provide opportunities for youth and women in Afghanistan. His work with foreign affiliates put his life at risk under the new Taliban regime so he felt he had no choice but to flee. He shares his story.
