• In Beirut, an Israeli strike outside Lebanon’s largest public hospital killed at least 18 people, including four children, the country’s health ministry said. The strike at Rafik Hariri University Hospital was not in an area covered by evacuation orders issued by the Israeli military, a CNN analysis found. • US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a meeting to “capitalize” on the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar by ending the war in Gaza and bringing hostages home. • The director of Gaza’s health ministry said medicine and food have not entered the northern part of the strip for 18 days, accusing Israel’s military of preventing international aid convoys from reaching the area. According to UN workers in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of people face a dire humanitarian situation amid Israel’s renewed military offensive. • Israeli authorities have acknowledged that Hezbollah’s drone attack struck Netanyahu’s house on Saturday. Neither the Israeli leader nor his wife were at home at the time. The US has asked Israel for “additional information” about a strike near a hospital in southern Beirut that the Lebanese health ministry said killed at least 18 people, including four children, according to a State Department spokesperson. While the US supports Israel’s operations to “degrade Hezbollah,” the Israel Defense Forces should take “every possible measure” to “minimize impact” on civilians and civilian infrastructure, said State Department Deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel at a news briefing.
