Israel to donate 1 million vaccine doses to African countries

Israel’s Foreign Ministry announced the country will donate 1 million Covid-19 vaccines to African states, through the global vaccine distribution partnership Covax.

In the coming weeks, the State of Israel will distribute one million AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines to African countries through the International Covax Vaccine Distribution Mechanism.

The decision to donate the vaccines was made on Friday during a meeting of the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and Health.
