Mohun Bagan Super Giant head coach Jose Molina looked at his team’s League Shield triumph as a major motivation to win the Cup and complete the ISL double crown, which has been done only once (Mumbai City FC in 2021-22).
“It is time for us now to go for an ISL double, which will be the first time in Mohun Bagan history. This is the greatest motivation for us. We are up against a really good team like Bengaluru FC. We have our plans which we want to show through our performance on the field,” Molina said.
BFC head coach Gerard Zaragoza referred to the emotions of the fans, who have been waiting for long to see the team regaining the title.
“We play football for the people who come to see us play, putting behind their personal problems. Many of them cannot even afford to buy a match ticket, they use every means to come to the stadium to support us. These people deserve good football and we are going to give that”.
