Aahana Kumra-starrer Avrodh 2 dropped on Sony Liv on June 24 and the actress is already receiving kudos for her performance. She plays a baddie in the series, which also happens to be one of her firsts. Also, Aahana is known for playing varied roles in offbeat cinemas. Aahana once said she was on the verge of dying by suicide in her quest to become an actress. However, she now has learnt to balance things better and is in a safe space of mind, she tells IndiaToday.in. Also, she shared her honest take on the film industry.
Avrodh 2 actress Aahana Kumra once said that she was on the verge of dying by suicide during her journey of becoming an actress. We asked her if the film industry is a scary place to be. And Aahana told IndiaToday.in, “I don't think so but I like to steer away from everybody. I like to surround myself with my family and friends, people I have grown up with. That puts me in a safe space. That's what is really important for me to be. That was the time I pushed myself and said I don't want to hang out with everybody else. I don't think I identified with those people. I am fine. Sometimes you find comfort in your own people. And that is what I did.”
Aahana further added, “Professionally I work very well with everybody. And that's absolutely fine. Sometimes it's all about finding the right balance. Unfortunately with our business, there's nobody to guide you also. Everybody tells you this is the way to go about, tum aise karo apna career, yeh karna hain, iss party mein jaana hain. It's not the way that works. Your work gets your job, your job gets you another job. Sometimes you need to just steer clear from everything and spend time with family and friends. After pack-up I am going to go back home. I started doing that and that put me in the right space of mind. And thank God!”
