The iQOO Z6 goes on sale in India for the very first time. Interested buyers can head to the Amazon India website or the iQOO India eStore to purchase the device. For the price point, the iQOO Z6 offers some impressive features like -- 120Hz screen refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, expandable storage support, 50-megapixel triple rear camera system, a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, and more.
The smartphone starts at a price of Rs 15,999 and goes up to Rs 17,999. The iQOO Z6 comes in three variants 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. As per the pricing of these models, the 4GB RAM version comes at Rs 15,999, the 6GB RAM model comes at Rs 16,999 and the 8GB RAM variant comes at Rs 17,999.
As a part of the launch offer, iQOO has partnered with HDFC Bank to offer an instant discount of Rs 2,000. The offer is available on both HDFC credit and debit cards. After applying the back offer, the price of the iQOO Z6 drops to Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM model. The price of the 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM version comes down to Rs 14,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively.
On paper, the iQOO Z6 looks impressive for a phone at that price point. In terms of specifications, the iQOO Z6 comes packed with a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display with 1080x2408 pixels resolution, a 120Hz screen refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 of internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB storage via microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 12 operating system based on Funtouch OS 12. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging in the box.
On the camera front, the iQOO Z6 features a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with an f/1.8 lens paired with a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. It should be noted that the bokeh camera mode is limited to the 6GB and 8GB models only. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel Samsung 3P9 shooter on the front.
The under Rs 20,000 price segment is already flooded with plenty of good options from smartphone brands like Samsung, Redmi, Realme, among others. However, despite the crowded space, the iQOO Z6 looks quite impressive, at least on paper. The smartphone offers a powerful hardware system, an impressive camera module, higher screen refresh rate, bigger display, and fast charging support out-of-the-box. Overall, for the affordable price tag, the latest iQOO smartphone is definitely one of the best options available under the Rs 20,000 price point.
