IPL2021: I was not explained why I was dropped as SunRisers Hyderabad captain, says David Warner

IPL 2021: Former SunRisers Hyderabad captain David Warner on Tuesday said that he had not explained to the owners or the team management on what ground he had been dropped. David Warner was replaced by Kane Williamson in the first half of the Indian Premier League.

Earlier this year, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) shocked everyone when they sacked their captain David Warner and replaced him with Kane Williamson. Warner was dropped as SRH captain in the first leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in April, as the team was lying at the bottom after losing five of the six matches.

However, the change in captaincy didn’t reverse SRH’s fortunes as they finished bottom of the IPL points table.
