In the post-match press conference after team's 1-run defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday, the legendary Australian expressed his solidarity with millions in India fighting against the deadly virus. Due to the rapid increase in the number of positive cases, Australia on Tuesday suspended all direct flights from India till May 15. The decision can affect the Australian players, commentators and coaching staff in the IPL 2021 but Ricky Ponting said that overseas players in his team were not thinking much about it and rather worried about what was going outside in the "struggling" Indian society.
