India Today
Eoin Morgan said English cricketers' tryst with the IPL has "massively benefitted" his team and the "priceless" experience could hold it in good stead in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
England limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan has heaped praise on the Indian Premier League (IPL), saying that the English players have been benefitted from the cash-rich T20 tournament. With the two T20I World Cup coming up, Morgan wishes to see the association of English players and the IPL for many years to come. English players are often criticized by the country's former cricketers for playing in the lucrative league. On the eve of the series opener, he was asked about the England players being criticized for playing in the IPL. "Yeah, we have benefitted from the IPL massively, and like we are thankful for it, it has been a huge part in our development, particularly in the 50-over campaign in 2019 and with two T20 World Cups coming up, hopefully, we are going to continue participating in the IPL. It is the biggest T20 tournament in the world, we gain experience and huge confidence from that," Eoin Morgan said during a virtual press conference on Thursday.More Related News
