IPL Auction 2022: Rohit Sharma jokingly said that all players who were not retained by their franchises will be glued to their TV sets during the mega auction.
India’s limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma was elated after his team outclassed West Indies in the final ODI to complete a 3-0 series sweep in Ahmedabad on Friday. Rohit looked in a joyous mood while addressing the reporters after India won the 3rd ODI by 96 runs and also opened up on the IPL 2022 mega auctions, scheduled to happen on Saturday and Sunday in Bengaluru.
Rohit jokingly said that all the players who have not been retained yet by their IPL franchises till now will be glued to the television sets and also revealed that he will be keeping his phone switched off during the auctions. "Everyone and all the guys who have not been retained will be glued to the TV, watching what is happening. I am certainly keeping my phone off," Rohit Sharma told reporters after the final ODI vs West Indies.

All eyes are on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, scheduled for February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. As many as 590 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer over the next 2 days. 0 teams with a maximum purse of Rs 561.5 crore will head into the two-day mega auction, looking to firm up their squads for the 15th season.
IPL auctions in the past have always generated interest as big stars command big money while a few lesser-known players become million-dollar buys and eventually household names.
