IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore star batter Virat Kohli posted his picture with the RCB kitbag from the hotel-room ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.
Royal Challengers Bangalore star batter Virat Kohli is excited to play as a pure batter and will look to take his franchise all the way this season in IPL 2022. Kohli joined the RCB camp in the Mumbai hotel on Monday and would start training after finishing his mandatory quarantine period for the Indian Premier League.
Kohli took to his official social media handle on Tuesday to post his picture with the RCB kitbag from the hotel room and captioned it, "IPL around the corner and the excitement is in the air."
Kohli, who has been with the franchise since its inception in 2008, was the leader of the squad for eight seasons. However, former South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis was announced as RCB captain for the upcoming edition.

Before his entry into the bio-bubble at the team hotel, Virat Kohli shared his first thoughts on 'RCB Bold Diaries', where he elaborated on his glorious 15 years at RCB, "Wow, 15! It's quite unbelievable the IPL has come this far. There’s renewed energy because I am off a lot of responsibilities and duties. And life is a very good place. We have a child now; we have a family. For me, it's all about just going on with life with a lot of joy and happiness and just watching our child grow. Just doing what I love, which is playing cricket. My focus is so clear now, and it’s so precise what I want to do. I just want to just have a lot of fun and enjoy myself on the field. And give me fully to this team and to this franchise like I have over so many years and without any load. I'm absolutely ready.”
Virat will spend the next two-odd months inside the confines of a bio-bubble and added that he does miss home being just a few miles away. Throwing light on being quarantined, Virat Kohli said on RCB Bold Diaries, "I would have preferred not to be here (at the hotel). Because I'm in Bombay and home is literally 20 minutes from here and you can't go home, you can't do anything. But it is what it is. You just got to go through whatever shows you're left with, catch up on a couple of shows, read a book which you're still going on with and a lot of video calls at home."
