IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja hands over CSK captaincy back to MS Dhoni

Ravindra Jadeja has decided to step down from the tole of captaincy and has requested MS Dhoni to lead Chennai Super Kings again.
MS Dhoni had led Chennai Super Kings to four IPL titles but he had decided to step down as captain in a shock announcement before the first match of IPL 2022. Ravindra Jadeja had been handed over the captaincy but often on the field, it was Dhoni who seemed to be making the calls and changing field placements.
After the change in leadership, Ravindra Jadeja's form had taken a dip. MS Dhoni, meanwhile, has looked in good touch with the bat and has been pretty sharp behind the wickets.

An official statement from CSK said Jadeja handed the captaincy back to MS Dhoni to focus on his game.
"Ravindra Jadeja has decided to relinquish captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game & has requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK. MS Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game," the statement read.
Against Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match of the season, MS Dhoni had smashed a quickfire fifty and then turned the clock back with a sensational blitz against Mumbai Indians, taking CSK to a thrilling last-ball victory.
