Punjab Kings' Liam Livingstone smashed 60 runs off 32 balls and then picked up two wickets at a crucial stage of the game as kings from Punjab beat the kings from Chennai by 54 runs to resigter their second win of IPL 2022.
Batting first, PBKS posted 180/8 from their 20 overs, thanks mostly to Livingstone's blistering knock. He also recorded the longest six hit in this IPL when he smashed the ball to 108m during the inning.
Chasing the target, CSK could only manage 126.
Livingstone, bought for Rs 11.50 crore, with a 32-ball-60 laid the platform but Chennai Super Kings bowlers made a brilliant comeback at the death, restricting Mayank Agarwal led side to 180 for 8 after 20 overs.
Later, little known Himachal Pradesh seam bowler Arora (4-0-21-2) performed as if he owned the stage, dismissing Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali with CSK managing only 126 in 18 overs at the end of the chase.
