IPL 2022: Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda, who had an ugly spat last year, shared a hug after the latter took a catch for Lucknow Super Giants in their season opener against Gujarat Titans on Monday.
Indian Premier League has often proved to be a platform where cricketers get to know each other well. Some much-talked-about rivals have turned into friends sharing a dressing room in the Indian T20 league. Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds were prime example of national team rivals burying the hatchet and working together in the IPL.
On Monday, it was Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda's time to bury the hatchet as they turned up to play for Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2022 opener against Gujarat Titans. The former Baroda teammates shared a hug after Hooda took a catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in Gujarat's chase of 159 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Krunal applauded the catch from Deepak as the left-hander patted the all-rounder after the catch in the first over.

Hooda had a tumultuous last season at Baroda and was suspended after he left the team's bio-bubble ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament following a spat with team captain Krunal. Hooda claimed that he was being "bullied" by Krunal which is why he left.
