Ajinkya Rahane was injured in Kolkata Knight Riders' last game against SunRisers Hyderabad.
Kolkata Knight Riders Opener Ajinkya Rahane has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League, KKR confirmed on Tuesday, 17 May. Rahane, who was seen limping heavily in Kolkata's last game against SunRisers Hyderabad got out after scoring 28 off 24 balls. At a point of time, it seemed that he was just not able to move his left leg and kept hopping to change the ends of the pitch.
The former Indian Test team vice captain was picked up in the IPL Auctions in February 2022 as Kolkata's first choice opener. His performance was not that fruitful in a forgetful season for the Kolkata-based franchise.
