KL Rahul was dismissed for a first-ball duck when he edged a Mohammed Shami delivery to Matthew Wade. Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants captain, had played for Punjab Kings from 2018 to 2021 before being signed up by LSG ahead of the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League.
KL Rahul got off to a horror start with the bat for Lucknow Super Giants when he was dismissed for a first-ball duck in the team's season opener of IPL 2022 against Gujarat Titans. Rahul, one of the most successful batsmen in the Indian Premier League, played the last four seasons of the IPL for Punjab Kings before he decided to part ways.
Mohammed Shami struck with the first ball of the match when he got KL Rahul to nick a fullish delivery on the fourth stump line. The on-field umpire ruled not out to a loud appeal from Gujarat Titans but Hardik Pandya opted for the DRS and TV replays showed a clear deflection.
