"Hooda and Krunal would be a good pair. Divided by Baroda, United by Lucknow," Sehwag tweeted.
Deepak Hooda had left Baroda's domestic team and joined Rajasthan for the upcoming season. Hooda had a tumultuous last season at Baroda and was suspended after he left the team's bio-bubble ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament following a spat with team captain Krunal Pandya. Hooda claimed that he was being "bullied" by Krunal, which is why he left.
Meanwhile, Nitish Rana was picked up by KKR for Rs 8 crore while West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 8.75 crore. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remained unsold as no franchise showed interest in him. India batter Manish Pandey was picked by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 4.6 crore. Windies left-handed batter Shimron Hetmyer was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 8.5 crore. India batter Robin Uthappa was acquired by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 2 crore.
