Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee has expressed delight at Glenn Maxwell starting the Indian Premier League 2021 season on a high for his new franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Lee said Virat Kohli’s presence has helped Maxwell focus better in the middle. Brett Lee’s comments came after Glenn Maxwell hit a match-winning 59 in just 41 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in difficult batting conditions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Match 6 of IPL 2021 on Wednesday. Glenn Maxwell stitched a crucial 44-run stand with Virat Kohli as the two kept the scoreboard moving after David Warner won the toss and sent RCB into bat. Even after Kohli departed for 33 and AB de Villiers fell for 1, Maxwell carried on and batted till the end for RCB, making sure the former finalists posted a par total of 149.
