The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host an Indian Premier League match for the first time in the upcoming 14th season of IPL. The rebuilt stadium, which is now the largest cricketing facility in the world, will host as many as 12 matches, including the play-offs and the final on May 30. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will make its IPL debut when Punjab Kings take on Kolkata Knight Riders on April 26. The initial leg of IPL 2021 will be played in bio-secure bubbles in Chennai and Mumbai. IPL 2021 will be played only across 6 venues in India in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
