Australia star batsman Steve Smith parted ways with Rajasthan Royals after a poor IPL 2020 season where the franchise finished at the bottom of the table. Smith captained the side but could not deliver what the franchise had expected. He was then picked by the Delhi Capitals for just Rs 20 lakh more than his base price of Rs 2 crore in IPL 2021 Auction and will team-up with former Australia captain Ricky Ponting at the franchise.
