Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan lauded Shreyas Iyer for focussing on his game on returning to the Indian Premier League for the first time in nearly a year after the Delhi Capitals batsman hit a match-winning 47 not out against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 on Wednesday.

Irfan Pathan said it's not easy to come back from a long injury lay-off, losing the captaincy of an IPL franchise and then returning to form, but highlighted that Shreyas Iyer deserves credit for doing so.
